Question 1

What is The Great Squirrel Chase about?

Accepted Answer

A backyard, a squirrel, and your pet at full tilt, with your child in the middle of it. It is the playful, outdoors side of your family, with your real pet on every page.

Question 2

Which format should I choose?

Accepted Answer

The board book is built for ages zero to four; the hardcover suits four and up. The longer editions add more spreads to the same story.

Question 3

Will our pet be recognizable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your pet is illustrated from your own photographs in our signature watercolor style, and you approve every page before it is printed.

Question 4

How long until it arrives?

Accepted Answer

Your proof comes within 48 hours of receiving your photos, and nothing prints until you say yes. After you approve, printing takes about three to five business days, and free US ground shipping usually adds three to five more. Express at checkout brings the shipping down to a day or two; it cannot speed the printing.

Question 5

Will it arrive in time, for the shower, the holiday, the birthday?

Accepted Answer

Most of our books are gifts, and most gifts have a date. Tell us yours and we’ll tell you what’s possible. After you approve your proof, your book takes about three to five business days to print and bind, then ships. Standard delivery adds three to five more, and Express brings that last part down to a day or two. Express speeds the shipping, not the printing, so the earlier you order, the safer the date. Already ordered and the day is near? Send us a message and we’ll do everything we can.

Question 6

Will I see the book before it’s printed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, always. You see every page and approve it before anything is printed, with your first proof back within 48 hours of receiving your photos. If a face needs softening, a coat color isn’t quite right, or a small detail feels off, tell us and we’ll fix it. You can ask for changes as many times as you like. Nothing prints until you say yes.

Question 7

How does personalizing the book work?

Accepted Answer

Every book is built around your pet, your child, and whichever family members you choose to include. After checkout, you’ll receive a short personalization form. You choose a starting character for each person, then send us as much as you’d like: reference photos and the details that make someone themselves: a hair color, a beard, glasses, a favorite outfit, a small object that matters. The starting characters are a beginning, not a limit. We work from there.
