The things families ask us most — how your book gets made, what you decide, and what happens between your order and your doorstep.

Will it arrive in time — for the shower, the holiday, the birthday?

Most of our books are gifts, and most gifts have a date. Tell us yours and we'll tell you what's possible. From order to doorstep usually runs about three to five days, and when the day is close, we offer a rush. If you've already ordered and the date is near, send us a message — we'll do everything we can to get it there in time.

Will I see the book before it's printed?

Yes — always. You see every page and approve it before anything is printed, with your first proof back in about two business days. If a face needs softening, a coat color isn't quite right, or a small detail feels off, we change it. Nothing goes to print until you've told us it's right.

How does personalizing the book work?

Every book is built around your pet, your child, and whichever family members you choose to include. After checkout, you'll receive a short personalization form. You choose a starting character for each person, then send us as much as you'd like — reference photos, and the details that make someone themselves: a hair color, a beard, glasses, a favorite outfit, a small object that matters. The starting characters are a beginning, not a limit. We work from there.

Can I include more than one pet — or two babies — or a pet who has passed?

Yes, to all three. Families come as they are — two dogs, twins, a senior cat, a pet who is no longer here. We can write more than one pet into the story, and for a pet who has passed, we can illustrate them with a small halo, so they remain part of the family on the page. Tell us in your form, and we'll build it in.

What do the M-1, F-1, B-1 codes mean — and where do I see the characters?

They're a quick way to choose a starting look for each person in the book: M for the male character, F for the female, B for the baby. You'll find the full character library inside your personalization form, with every option side by side. If you can't find it, or you'd like help choosing, send us a message and we'll walk you through it.

Can I send my own photos for the characters?

Yes — and we hope you will. The closer the proof is to the real people in your story, the more the book becomes yours. You can upload photos of the people, the pet, and the details worth keeping — a favorite shirt, a particular collar, a certain pose — right in the personalization form.

Our pet came before our baby — or after. Can the story match?

Yes. Some of our books follow a particular order, and we can flex the verses to match yours. Tell us in the personalization form, or message us before you order, and we'll make the timeline true to your family.
